Whose Side Are You On?

You probably read about the children of Israel in the book of Exodus.

At one point they were camped before Mount Sinai. Moses was called up
on the mountain to meet God. He was gone for 40 days and the people
reverted back to their pagan practices of worshiping a golden calf.

Fearing the Lord would consume Israel, because of their gluttonous
reveling and sinful behavior, Moses descended to the camp.

After giving his unreliable brother, Aaron, the old dickens, Moses
seized the golden image, and hurled it into the fire.

Then turning to the multitude,he cried out,
"Who is on the Lord's side? Come here to me!" Exodus 32:26
Thankfully, the majority of that huge assembly responded. Those who re-
fused to take their stand were slain.

We are not typically called upon to choose so swiftly and dramatically.
Yet by His own means, the Almighty is continually testing the quality of
our loyalty to Him.

Our minds are endowed with the power to discriminate between right and
wrong. Daily we must determine whether or not to obey God's command-
ments.

There's a story about a deaf mute, who is asked why he attended church
so faithfully, he replied in sign language, so that everyone will know
whose side I'm on.

It is a day to day decision, as God's love language is free will.
A question we need to ask ourselves. Who's side am I on?

As you read through the Bible, you will see that there are only two
sides. It's the biggest most important decision you will ever make.
