Death seemed inevitable. And defeat appeared certain. As mountains loomed large on one side, the Red Sea on the other, and the Egyptian army breathing down their necks, the fleeing Israelites were quite certain their lives were over.
Can you imagine their surprise when the sea opened before them. Astonished, they pass through on dry land and when they were safe on the other side, walls of water crashed down on their enemies killing them instantly.
Moses and all the children of Israel, safe on the other side, sang a song of deliverance. It was a song of their unique experience. You can read about it in Exodus 15. "The Lord is my strength and song, and He is become my salvation; He is my God, and I will prepare Him an habitation; my Father is God and I will exalt Him."
They had experienced the Almighty's power firsthand and witnessed a miracle like they had never seen before.
God is the same yesterday today, tomorrow and forever. He was the Israelites Deliverer and He is yours and mine. He is bigger than any problem we have and when things seem impossible He can open the way. He has the answer to all questioning, the solution to all challenges and in the dark He is the light. He can open the Red Sea for us and give us a song to sing.
He is however a gentleman and free will is His mission statement, He is waiting for you to ask
He wants to be your Everything. No one else loved you so much they died for you. I hope you won't forget that when things look bad. If you're into the Holy Word you know times are going to get worse.
God is always there, He will not always save us from trial, but He will always see us through it. He has promised never to leave us nor forsake us. We really can't ask more than that.
Stand strong, be courageous, don't compromise.
